4Not quite so easy  Sep 05, 2010
I purchased this kayak last week as an easy to store alternative to a hard sided or folding kayak. Like others, I inflated it in the living room to see how it worked, floated it in the pool, and then took it to a lake. It works well on the water, and I believe is probably the least expensive way to get out on the water in your own craft. It is easy to inflate and after around 10 minutes I was paddling away. For my first time at the lake I probably covered a couple miles in an hour. The issue I have with the boat is packing it up for storage. Between the side tubes and the floor there is a channel that traps water. I have found it very difficult to dry this adequately for storage, yet the instruction say to dry it thoroughly or it will mold. The only way I have found this to be possible is to pull the bow and stern through the spray skirts and turn the boat inside out. To be fair, this can be done at home, and is best done with partial inflation, say 1/4 inflated. This maneuver requires some physical strength and may be rough on the seams and plastic. Other than the storage issue, I am happy with my purchase and look forward to putting to frequent use. Thus far, I would recommend it to others.

5Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable  Aug 20, 2010
Arrived quickly. Had it set up and ready to go 10 min. out of box using electric pump I have for camping. Perfect for getting around small inland lake in my neighborhood. Second trip out on Lake Michigan in moderate waves was fun. The Sea Eagle is very stable and roomy for me and my 6 yr. old nephew. We love it! When exploring the small lakes we prefer the inflatable over the old aluminum canoe we use for fishimg. The convenience of the inflatable can't be beat. Best $200 I ever spent.

4Inflatable Adventure!  Aug 20, 2010
I was very excited when I unpacked this "inflatable adventure". With the help of my 4 year old grandson I inflated the kayak in less than 15 minutes. I was determined to thoroughly test the kayak in different settings:

I love the portability (I drive a Toyota Echo and it comfortably fits into my tiny trunk). The included foot pump is more than sufficient to inflate kayak. It takes about 10 minutes. I learned to carry it with me in the boat (just in case I didn't close a valve completely). Deflating and packing it up for transport also just takes a few minutes.

Comfort: The seats are comfortable and flexible. You can position them wherever you like: When I travel by myself I take only one seat. If my grandson comes with me I turn his seat so he is facing me. Two adults can position them according to their comfort level. I have not tested the kayak with two adults yet, but it does seem to be a little tight for 2 adults (especially if you plan on carrying any gear (hence the 4 stars). If you plan on using this with 2 adults, consider buying the next size up. The paddles are sufficient.

Durability: The kayak seems to be pretty durable. I did scrape over some oyster-covered rocks without damage on the first day I took it out. I would HIGHLY recommend to ALWAYS carry the included repair kit. On one of my outings I found myself up the river with a leak in the bottom chamber (surely it happened when I came across this huge Alligator :) and the scales of his back cut the bottom of my kayak). The repair kit however was at home on my living room table... that being said, even though I lost the air in the bottom chamber the side chambers+ inflatable seat held up well enough for me to paddle back comfortably the 5+ miles down river. I patched the kayak that night and went out on it the very next day. I had it out the next 5 consecutive days and had no further problem.

Price: You can't beat it. Whenever I went out people asked me if I spent $400-500 on this and I was happy to tell them that I only spent $200 at Amazon.com :)

I would definitely purchase another Sea Eagle kayak (perhaps a slightly larger size) and recommend it to my friends.

I am looking forward to many more adventures in my inflatable friend.

5Perfect for two  Aug 19, 2010
This inflatable kayak has already provided great times for me and my wife. We've only been out on the Bogue Sound near the Outter Banks in NC and have already seen great marine life to include a few dozen dolphins. We haven't taken it out into any difficult water yet, but it's intended mainly as an escape from stress, not a serious adventuring craft. The set up is very simple and the included inflation gauge is perfect. The foot pump is well put together and stores well. My only gripe so far is with the skeg protectors. They fall off easily and have already been lost. The manufacturer would do well to make these a high-visibility color to help remind users to put them on and take them off. The paddles work well and are very easy to put together. I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to putting it to more use.

4Great Kayak for the Price  Aug 13, 2010
This is the first kayak I have ever owned and only the second kayak I have tried. I bought the kayak because the price was right and portable. I just throw it in the trunk and I can go anywhere. No racks needed.
After using it for 3 weeks, it is perfect for me. My girlfriend and I have taken it out almost every day at Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu. We paddle where the stand-up paddlers go and it gives us a good upper body and core workout.
Most reviewers commented on the use of this kayak on calm lakes and rivers. I think this kayak can be used on the ocean but close to shore where the wind isn't so strong.
Pros:
1. The price is right. $199.99 at Amazon.com.
2. Portable. Fits in my trunk.
3. Seems to be durable.
4. Great on calm water with little wind.
5. Carry bag has lots of room for the kayak, paddles, seats.
6. Easy set-up and take down. Takes about 10 minutes to inflate with the foot pump. About 5 minutes to put away.
7. One way valves on all parts of kayak make for easy inflation. Even the seats have one way valves now. Sea Eagle must have seen negative comments about seats having inferior valves.
Cons:
1. Hard to paddle into the wind.
2. Paddle handles are a tight fit. I cannot take apart the two center shafts once I put them together.
3. Foot pump works well but seems to be pretty flimsy. Time will tell how long it will last.
